You too can become a member!

W.A.G has two types of membership 



           Active membership - persons able to attend at least fifty percent of the number of scheduled meetings


           Associate membership - persons demonstrating interest in the association but unable to actively participate in daily operations

Meetings are held on the last Thursday of each month at Marryshow House (UWI Open Campus) H.A. Blaize Street in St. George from 4:30pm and if your fingers are itching and you just can't wait, join us on facebook

Shirley Brathwaite 

 

Mrs. Shirley Brathwaite is recognized and the founder of the Writers Association of Grenada and served as our first President paving the way for many others to come. She was also the founder of the Alpha Junior Academy and served the nation's children passionately leaving us a legacy of excellence.

Basil V. Bonaparte

 

W.A.G.'s first and most prominent male figure, known internationally for his delectably inspiring piece "Men of Steel" After years of active service Mr. Bonaparte, now retired serves as W.A.G.'s historian and a beacon of light to the upcoming generations. 

Esther O'neale

 

Internationally accredited Grenadian born author, former president of W.A.G. educator and creative critic extraordinaire, Mrs. O'neale was one of the founding mothers of W.A.G. and has through the years chaperoned and shaped the minds of the people who now lead the Association.

Maryse Taylor

 

A close and personal friend of the late Shirley Braithwaite, the french born maiden was right at Shirley side for the foundation of both W.A.G. and Alpha Junior where she served as the school's first French Teacher. A brilliant, bi-lingual writer Maryse highlights the Association's national acclaim.
 

Sadna Cornelle Woodroffe

 

Proficient in soulful rootsy poetry, Sadna is a poet, an artist, entertainer and a mainstay in the executive arm of the Association having served formerly as President and Floor member. She now currently serves as Public Relations Officer for the Association creating a vital link between the past, present and future of W.A.G.
